Kagadi Institute of Science and Technology (KISTEC) in partnership with Baylor Uganda is training 10 teen mothers who were affected by Covid-19. The girls are undergoing practical training in tailoring, fashion, and design. They are provided with lunch, and training materials and after the training, each one will get a startup kit to start her own business.

Before I joined KISTEC, I had lost hope in life. I did not even know how the life of my daughter will be. I did not have a way of surviving with my child. I joined KISTEC in August 2022 to gain skills in Tailoring, fashion and design. In just two months, I have already started earning some money from offering sewing services to the people in my village. I am now able to buy milk and medicine for my baby. I would like to thank KISTEC for giving me hope in life. I am sure the skills I am acquiring will help me sustain my family and also help other teen mothers who are in the same condition I was in.

KABUGHO GRACE-Teen Mother

There are hundreds of such girls within Bunyoro region and Uganda. These girls must be helped. KISTEC invites more partners in order to reach out to many girls.
