On May 9, 2025, Viva Courts Hotel in Kagadi, Mid-Western Uganda, buzzed with excitement as Kagadi Institute of Science and Technology (KISTEC) held its inaugural graduation ceremony. Over 30 students proudly received certificates in Taoliring, Welding and Metal Works, Electrical Installation, Motorcycle Repair, Motorcycle Mechanics, Computer Application and Website Development, marking a significant milestone in their journey towards self-reliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Guest Hon. Janepher Mbabazi, Woman MP for Kagadi District, congratulated the graduands, emphasizing the importance of believing in oneself, embracing life with curiosity, and upholding discipline, honesty, and integrity. She urged them to leverage the Parish Development Model (PDM) to start their own businesses and applauded H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s initiatives in promoting youth skilling and the new secondary curriculum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kagadi District RDC Mr. Benjamin Tumusiime encouraged graduands to tap into government programs like Emyoga, PDM, and Youth Livelihood Programme, focusing on delivering quality to achieve business success. He pledged to collaborate with KISTEC to reach more youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
